We went to my parent's house later in the afternoon on Christmas day! The children had fun opening all of their presents and spending time with their other cousins, Eric and Ethan! It was a long two days for the children! It is always nice to celebrate the holidays with your family!

Christmas Morning at the Hostert House!
This Christmas was so special! We were so happy to have Piper and Oliver with us this year! We were only missing Zoe! Santa left a message for Sophia, Graham, Parker, Piper, and Oliver on their bed! Santa color coded each of their presents to make it easier for everyone to open presents. Sophia was the first one up at 7:30 AM. It was hard to wait for everyone else to wake up, but she did it! Erik went downstairs to turn on the tree and the Christmas music! We opened the gate and they all came running down the stairs to see their presnts! It was so much fun to see Christmas through the eyes of each of our children! We are so blessed! Enjoy the pictures from Christmas morning at our house
Christmas Eve!
We spent Christmas Eve with Erik's family! We were so glad that Aunt Wendy, Uncle Scott, Allie, and Finn were able to spend Christmas Eve with us. Unfortunately, the battery died shortly after we got to Oma and Opa's house. I don't have many pictures to share! We did make reindeer food before dinner to sprinkle on the lawn before bed! We had a very special Christmas Eve!
Thinking of Zoe!
I just love this song called "Merry Christmas" by Third Day.
There's a little girl trembling on a cold December morn
Crying for momma's arms
At an orphanage just outside a little China town
There the forgotten are
But half a world away I hang the stockings by the fire
And dream about the day when I can finally call you mine
It's Christmas time again but you're not home
Your family is here and yet you're somewhere else alone
And so tonight I pray that God will come and hold you in his arms
And tell you from my heart I wish you Merry Christmas
As I hang the tinsel on the tree and watch the twinkling lights
I'm warmed by the fire's glow
Outside the children tumble in a wonderland of white,
Make angels in the snow
But half a world away you try your best to fight the tears
And hope that heaven's angels come to carry you here
It's Christmas time again but you're not home
Your family is here and yet you're somewhere else alone
And so tonight I pray that God will come and hold you in his arms
And tell you from my heart I wish you Merry Christmas
Christmas is a time to celebrate the holy child
And we celebrate his perfect gift of love
He came to earth to give his life
And prepare a place for us
So we could have a home with him above
It's Christmas time again and now you're home
Your family is here so you will never be alone
So tonight before you go to sleep, I'll hold you in my arms
And I'll tell you from my heart, and I'll tell you from my heart
I wish you Merry Christmas

Graham's Christmas Party for Cancer Patients!
Today we went to a Christmas Party for the children from A.I. Dupont Children's Hospital who have cancer! It was surreal being in a room with all the children who have been diagnosed with cancer! This was the 23rd year for the party. A very special family puts this together each year for the children. We ate lunch, sat on Santa's lap, and received a special present from Santa's Elves! It was a very special day for Graham and the rest of the Hostert Family! Parker is still scared of Santa and stayed at a distance from Santa. Oliver fell asleep in Mrs. Clause's arms! So cute! We are very fortunate to have A.I. Dupont Children's Hospital so close to our house. We have received such quality care for all five of our children from the hospital!
