Another New Addition to our Family!

Where do I even begin? Sometimes right in the middle of your ordinary life, God presents you with a miracle that you never expected! Two months ago we found out we were expecting a baby due this September! We are three months into this pregnancy and everything is looking good so far! We have had two miscarriages in the past two years which were very devastating to us! This past summer the fertility specialists pretty much told us our only chance to have a baby would be to do an embryo transplant which we knew was not for us! There are over 2000 children on the special needs list in China and we knew our two little girls were on that list! We were perfectly content completing our family through the miracle of adoption! China is a very special place to us!
So, where does this leave us with our adoption? We have decided to only bring home one of our China Angels at this time. Piper will be joining our family sometime in the summer. We are currently waiting for our LOA or letter of acceptance from China. We may even get it in the next two weeks! It was a very tough decision to make, but we had to make the right decision for our family! We feel very blessed that God has given us five miracles to love!

Playground Fun!

Today we had a taste of spring weather! It was 65 degrees and absolutely beautiful outside. We headed to the playground this afternoon! Sophia, Graham, and Parker all had so much fun playing on the playground equipment. We also brought their plasma cars so they could ride them in the big open space at the playground! It was so nice to spend some time outside today!

One Month of Waiting!

Today marks the one month mark since we were logged in the the CCAA. We are waiting for our letter of acceptance (LOA). It has been taking an average of one to three months to receive this paper from China. Once we have that paper we can submit our I-800 form to the USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immmigration). That is taking about eight or nine weeks to be processed! This paper is then sent back to China with our LOA! Then, we wait for our travel approval to travel to China! It seems like it is such an easy process, but it takes many months! We can't wait to go to China again!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend! The children spent the night at my parent's house on Friday and we picked the children up Saturday afternoon! Erik and I were able to enjoy a nice dinner alone on Friday night! Thanks Mom and Dad! Plus, it gave me a lot of time to relax and rest this weekend! We gave the children their Valentine's presents on Sunday! Today we made cupcakes for Daddy to celebrate after dinner!!! Here is a picture of my three Valentine's (just missing two of my babies!) Erik gave me a new camera for Valentine's Day so I will be back to posting pictures and updates about the Hostert family!!!

Delaware Museum of Natural History

Yesterday we took the children to the Natural History Museum in Delaware. There was no admission fee yesterday at the museum. I have been wanting to take the children to see the new tarantula exhibit so we decided to go! Sophia and Graham loved it! Parker was a little scared, but eventually warmed up to looking at the exhibits!
