A Long Weekend!

Friday night both Erik and I ended up with some kind of stomach virus! I have been in bed for two days. Poor Erik had to take care of all three children all day on Saturday all by himself. I felt so bad for Erik! Saturday was my sister's bridal shower so my Mom couldn't come up until very last last night. I am feeling a little better today, but I have still slept most of the day. Erik feels better than me, but still isn't 100%. He did take the children to Boomer's today so they could get out of the house! Erik has to go all the way to New Jersey for work tomorrow! I hope he makes it through the day!

Snow, Snow, and More Snow!!!

We are so ready for spring weather! We got about 15 inches of snow. Erik worked from home yesterday since we were not sure how much and what kind of winter precipitation we were going to end up with by the evening. Erik shoveled for about two hours yesterday after the first round of snow and shoveled another three hours today. We lost power for over twelve hours. Thank goodness it didn't get too cold in the house. We did head to McDondald's for lunch just so we could get out and warm up. We were so happy to have power when we came home!! Let's hope we don't lose power again anytime soon! Still no camera! We just haven't had a chance to go and buy another one. I know I missed so cute pictures of Sophia and Graham playing in the snow. Parker prefered to stay inside with Mommy! Sophia and Graham said the best part of playing in the snow is having hot chocolate when they come inside. Hope everyone is staying warm!

LID!!!!

We just got the call from our adoption agency that our LID date is January 12, 2011! We are officially logged into the CCAA's system. The wait officially begins as of that date! We can't wait to travel to China again! Currently, the time to travel from LID is four to six months. We are hoping to travel to China in June!!

Winter is Here!

I know I haven't posted in awhile, but my camera stopped working so I haven't really been motivated to post anything without pictures. I think we are all ready for the spring weather to come back so we can go outside and play. We did have our first little snowfall last week and Sophia and Graham loves playing in the snow and riding the sleds down the little hill in our backyard. Parker pretty much cried the whole time we were outside. I ended up bringing him inside and made the hot chocolate. We enjoyed our first cup of hot chocolate this winter.

We have been spending lots of time building with legos and all the other blocks we have around the house. The children mostly play with the cars and even had a birthday party for Mater and Lightning McQueen. I so wish I had my camera to capture the party! It was priceless! The children really love the moon dough they got for Christmas. We play with it several times a day! Parker's beloved Big Foot (know to Parker as Foot) seems to have stopped working. He has a love/hate relationship with Foot. He wants to play with him, but he has to stand at a distance so Foot doesn't get too close to him. If Foot somehow gets to close to him, he runs away crying! We will have to take Foot back to see if we can get another one. Parker keeps asking if Foot is ready. We have to charge the battery every day. We are constantly telling Parker Foot is sleeping or he will relentlessly keep asking for him. There is nothing like waking up to Parker saying Foot Foot Foot! He sure is funny!

We have a busy month ahead of us. We have my sister's wedding shower in two weeks. The Chinese New Year Celebration with our adoption agency is being held at a local Chinese restaurant the first weekend in February. We also have our neighbor's birthday party on the same day as the Chinese New Year Celebration! Then, a few weeks later is my sister's wedding. Then, it will be March! Let the birthday celebrations begin! Parker will have his first birthday party with us and we will celebrate Piper's second birthday too! We sure have a busy few months on tap!

Happy 1st Birthday Zoe!

Today we celebrated Zoe Caroline's 1st Birthday! Sophia, Graham, and Parker helped me to make brownies for Zoe's birthday! We wish she was here with us so we could give her lots of hugs and kisses! This will be her last birthday without her family! We love you Zoe and we can't wait to meet you in person!
